Product Overview

DCC (Digital Contact Controller) is a touch sensor IC enabling it to convert capacitance generated between human body and conductive touch pads to digital data without any analog signal processing. You can substitute it for the conventional buttons and also add scroll function for look and feel better design. DCC composed of fully digital architecture has not only provided digital innovation in the area of sensor signal processing based on analog technology but also will be the core technology in the ubiquitous sensor area due to its low power consumption and ease of use to the variety of applications.
It can generate touch output almost ten times faster than other touch sensor ICs which gives more flexibility for error concealment. Its differential signal input architecture enables to acquire higher immunity from common mode noises such as RF noise. It can also detect very little capacitive variation (0.03pF) so that it can cope with versatile design trials. In addition, its automatic impedance calibration enables it to maintain consistent sensitivity under any circumstances such as environmental change including temperature and humidity or production change including IC lot and PCB variations.
